There are three types of automatic blood pressure moni tors
the arm, wrist and finger monitors. The basic principle of all these monitors is the same to measure your blood pressure automatically. Digital monitors are the most popular of blood pressure monitors. For the most part digital monitors are very similar to the manual ones with the exception that the blood pressure readings are recorded to a digital screen. Some of the digital monitors do have additional features like keeping track of previous readings. Modern automatic monitors are simple to use and most have large digital readouts which are also very easy to read. Many also have memory facilities which allow you to keep a record of your blood pressure readings over time and sometimes to print these out or to load them into your computer where they can be plotted into a clear graphical picture. Also the cuff automatically inflates at the touch of a button and automatically calculates heart rate and determines your blood pressure by measuring blood flow. Some even give you an error message if you’re not wearing the cuff properly and will deflate automatically. As you see there are many different types of blood pressure monitors to choose from so you will be able to find the right one for your needs.
